This project brought together changes in the way Tilson considered and approached research, creation, delivery and audience.
Rather than focus on a specific city neighbourhood for his work Tilson collected material from cities as far apart as San Francisco and Bombay. Photographs, video, audio and merchandise were collected as ideas developed for specific works. |

> Stock Exchange 1991-97 200 shopping carrier bags, archival polyweld bags, aluminium mapping pins. 213 x 427 cm Stock Exchange was 200 folded shopping carrier bags found in 50 cities. Each bag was carefully folded, like a shirt, partially revealing the graphic message on each bag - upside down. A printed label attached to the top edge of each archive bag listed the town of origin. |
