TEN MORE TURNIPS FROM THE TIP
This is the last studio album by Ian Dury and the Blockheads. These songs were recorded between 1991 and 2000 with additional Blockhead dubs added in 2001. It is co-produced by Laurie Latham who mixed many Blockhead albums, including New Boots and Panties. Ten More Turnips From the Tip has been organised by Ian’s wife Sophy, daughter Jemima, son Baxter, the Blockheads and Jamie Spencer and all at east central one who released Ian Dury And The Blockheads previous albums. The CD artwork is by Sophy Dury, featuring a photo of Ian, when 1 1/2, with his dad and their dog Bella.
The booklet is designed by Sophy’s brother Jake Tilson and features artworks that Ian loved alongside Blockheads tickets and badges supplied by The Blockheads, family and fans. Featured artwork by: Humphrey (Kilburn & The High Roads) Ocean, Peter (the painter) Blake, Geoffrey Rigden, Terry Day, Gordon House, Ian himself, Jock (the poet) Scot, Barney (the designer) Bubbles. Barney designed the Blockheads logo - it was delivered at first by ‘phone to Ian, pen in hand, as Barney dictated the logo over the ‘phone.

Photo: Ian, his dad and their dog, Bella.
